Participants at the Solar Schoolhouse Summer Institute for Educators create a series circuit with solar cells & motors. Forty teachers from throughout California, and as far as North Carolina, attended the 2005 sessions. The project-oriented theme of the 5day summer institute lead to the construction of 2 permanent solar fountains for the host sites, fountains to take back to school, stand-alone solar electric nightlight, solar cars, solar cookers, model solar homes, model solar hot water heaters, and more.
