IN BRIEF

Xantrex SW Inverter
status Update
- The California Energy Commission has posted a statement
regarding previously installed Xantrex SW inverters affected
by a UL Alert and de-listing. A review of data, including
additional testing performed by Sandia National Labs, showed
sufficient evidence that the installed SWs do not pose a significant
islanding concern. The State's three Investor Owned Utilities
have concluded that these units may continue to operate per
the conditions noted in the statement. The information may
be found on the Energy
Commission Renewables Buydown web page:scroll down to
"Notice of Recertification of Xantrex SW Inverters".
Additional background information is available at the Xantrex
web page: In particular, see the references at the bottom
of this document.
