SB 530 legislation
needed to continue CEC Renewable Energy Buydown Program
- The Renewable Energy Investment
Plan for 2002-2006, developed by the California Energy
Commission, is making it's way through the California legislature.
SB.
530 passage is required to set the new REP-based program
in motion. Current rebates are available for <10kW Photovoltaic
systems until the funds run out. The new program, per SB 530,
will also include funding for larger solar systems. SB 530
will also enable further work of the Public Interest Energy
Research program.
