SunWize Technologies opens west coast Facility

SunWize customers to benefit from California location
Kingston, New York, January 30, 2002 - In order to serve the growing
solar
energy market in the Western US, SunWize Technologies announced
the opening
of an 8500 square foot distribution facility in Ventura County,
CA. The
facility is located 60 miles north of Los Angeles. "Our West
Coast customers
will experience shorter turnaround time for shipments and reduced
shipping
costs from our California facility," stated Joanne Smith, Vice
President,
Residential Power. The new facility is part of the SunWize expansion
plan
designed to service its growing customer base in the Western US
and Latin
America, and to implement its Solar Connect sales program for the
California
residential photovoltaic market. SunWize also operates a 30,000
square foot
manufacturing and distribution facility on the East Coast in Kingston,
NY.
Business over the past ten months indicates the demand for solar
modules and
components has doubled in the Western part of the United States
with a
concentration in California. "The strategic location of this
facility will
greatly benefit our customers," commented David Holt, General
Manager,
