LADWP Increases Rebate for Solar Electric Systems
The LADWP Solar Incentive program was revised, effective
August 7 of this year. The Incentive is still comprised of two parts: the base
Incentive of $4.50/Watt for any qualified PV equipment, plus an LA Manufacturing
Credit Incentive (LAMC) of $1.50/Watt.
Siemens Solar equipment now qualifies for the $6/Watt Incentive. This includes
all Siemens equipment, regardless of where it is manufactured. The Siemens LA
factory manufactures only 75 Watt modules at this time. The $6/Watt Incentive
will be paid upon installation and approval of the system for systems up to
99
kW in size.
For systems 100 kW or larger, the base Incentive of $4.50/Watt will be paid
upon installation and approval of the system. The LAMC of $1.50/Watt will be
paid once Siemens has manufactured an equivalent amount of product in Los
Angeles, usually within 2-4 weeks.
